Safeguarding
The safety and security of your child is paramount. We’ve developed robust policies and procedures and a widely-recognised staff-training process. Our camps are registered with Ofsted and we have a rigorous audit process.
We’re Ofsted registered
Ofsted sets the standard for organisations working with children in England, and we work closely with them to ensure our camps follow best practice. All of our people undertake a rigorous interview, reference and clearance process, including enhanced disclosure checks and our compulsory training programme that covers essentials such as safeguarding, supervision and First Aid.
We’re safe
The NSPCC exists to protect children. We’ve worked closely with the NSPCC to create safer recruitment policies and to create our compulsory and certified staff safeguarding courses.
Our remarkable Red Tops
Each year we receive over 15,000 applications from sports students, teachers and sports professionals, enabling us to select those worthy of wearing our famous Red Tops! Our selection is rigorous, including an in-depth interview and clearance process and widely-recognised training process.
The Kings Factor
The Kings Factor is an essential part of our formula that over 3 million children have enjoyed. Coaches must have an energetic and outgoing personality, be dedicated to child development and have the ability to inspire children.
Getting the best out of every child
Our active-learning approach to activity sessions helps children learn together, develop new skills and forget about screens (for a few hours!). We focus on developing teamwork, communication, problem solving and friendship. Whether attending for one week or multiple weeks, our aim is to get the best out of every camper and instil a love of being active.
The best camps deserve the best facilities
We work closely with top schools and universities across the UK to find the best venues for our camps.
To host Kings Camps, venues must have exceptional sports facilities such as sports halls, swimming pools and playing fields. They must also share our desire to get children active and having fun!
Our ratios
We follow Ofsted ratio guidelines to ensure the safety and care of every camper.
